Better Late Than Never
(by Ellie Quinn)
Out of my cosmos and darkness of space
Aiming towards the prison of limited time,
So far it’s been our typical rate, so I might be late
As your traveler towards our vanishing fate
A mix of temptation is making us rotate
My imagination is running like me
Because of this mind state
Flying, riding, running late,
I’m trembling as you debate.
But I say, better late than never,
Better late than never
Through these hollow halos of the void,
Your voice seems to be getting clearer.
The distance shrinks but the desire suspends
You close the gate, you feel the fear,
Yet I am near deciding to disappear.
I’m too late, but I’m finally here
I say better late than never,
Even though you made it clear
Somehow getting too close is our fear.
